Intro 15 min
The first call.
No pitch, no slides, no salespeople. Fifteen minutes to figure out if I'm the right fit for what you're building. If I'm not, I'll tell you who is.
What we cover.
- Minute 1–3: You talk. What are you building? What's the one thing that has to work by launch? What's already tried?
- Minute 3–8: I ask 3–4 questions. Budget range. Timeline. Team / decision-makers. Tech you're already on.
- Minute 8–12: I tell you — straight — whether I'm a fit, and roughly what the engagement would cost.
- Minute 12–15: Next step. Either I send a one-page spec within 48h, or I refer you to someone who's a better fit. No follow-up emails if it's "no."
What to bring.
- A one-paragraph scope. What you want, who it's for, what success looks like. If you have a doc, even better.
- A rough budget range. "Under $3k" / "$3k–$10k" / "$10k+". Helps me tell you yes or no honestly.
- A timeline. Launch date, or "exploring."
- Decision-maker(s). Just you? Co-founder? Board?
What you don't need.
- A finished spec or wireframes. (I'll help write the spec.)
- An NDA in advance. (I sign before any details get shared.)
- To pretend you have more budget than you do.
- To know which engagement shape you want — MVP, widget, retainer. I'll suggest.
"The intro call was 13 minutes. We had a one-pager in my inbox the next morning. Two weeks later we'd signed."
